Toybox Drive

Starting in December we are joining with KOAM Tv to raise toys for the
children of our community. All you have to do is buy a new toy and drop it off
at the church.

All toys will then be delivered to the KOAM Tv station in time for Christmas.

Thanksevening Service

Thanksevening is what we call the Wednesday
evening service before Thanksgiving. This year's
sermon was out of Luke 17: 12 -19. It is a very
familiar section of scripture covering the ten lepers
and how they were healed by Jesus, but only 1 came
back to give thanks to Jesus for all He had done. Below is
the 7 points from the scriptures...

1st - Jesus is Full of compassion and mercy.

2nd - His Word and our Faith can make us whole.

3rd - An attitude of Thanks can cause us to change our direction.

4th - An attitude of Thanks is a way to draw closer to God.

5th - Let our Thanks be loud.

6th - Our thanks causes us to Focus.

7th - An attitude of thanks has a great way of causing us to "Rise" out of situations in our lives.

Thanksgiving Hunt - Winners

WOW,

What a great time we had as we had our thanksgiving hunt. We put
the guy's vs. the gal's and raised some supplies for the church. The
gal's beat the guy's ... barely. Special thanks to all who gave and may God
Bless You in your giving..

Samuel, Cody, Gary and Alan stop to take count
of the supplies the guy's raised..

Richard, Pastor Donnie, Alan & Alan serve breakfast
on Saturday November the 29th. The guy's had to
serve and make breakfast due to the loss on the
Thanksgiving hunt.. The guy's even cleaned up...

Thanksgiving Hunt

At our recent deacons meeting we came up with
a great idea of how to give thanks along with meeting
some of the church supplies needs. We are having what
we call a "Thanksgiving Hunt". This is a type of scavenger
hunt, that will be the guy's versus the gal's.

Starting on Sunday November 9th we will have a list for
each group. The list will include supplies for the church and a
few other odd things. The first group to fill the list and bring it
to church wins.

Wins what?

A free , home cooked breakfast. That the losing team has to cook...

Good luck to all....

Take - n - Bake Fundraiser

Our very own chef Josh Robarts has come up with
a great idea for our Fall Fundraiser. It is what we
call Take - n - Bake Pumpkin Pie. We are currently taking
orders for the event.

Here's the idea, we will have a homemade pie crust
and the pumpkin pie fixin's all ready for you, so all you
have to do is get up on Thanksgiving morning, pour the
ingredients into the pie crust and place in the oven.
Bam, a homemade pumpkin pie ready to go..

Last day of orders is Sunday November 23rd, with
pick up date of Wednesday Evening November 26th.

Fall Festival 2008

This year's fall festival was great fun and totally rocked. We had
a lot of activities for all the kids. We had a tricycle race, face painting,
ring pop toss and many other games. We also had a lot of give a ways
and did we mention the candy. We gave out a tremendous amount of
candy for all the kids....

Our pumpkin head winner was Kayla Garner with the clown
pumpkin.. Great job Kayla.

Photo of our Spice Kids packing the candy bags for the
Fall Festival. Great job.... Did you eat any of that candy?

Pastor Donnie talks to Trinity about how things are not
what they always appear to be. Trinity had to choose between
the big box or the little bag. She chose wisely.....
1 Sameul 16:7 says that man looks at the outside, but
God looks at the inside or the heart of man....." Remember
appearances are not sometimes what they seem...

Thanks to all who made the Fall Festival a great time
that was safe and fun for our kids......

minister to the Children's Crew. Joyfull Critters brought elephants for
every kid and brought their stuffing machine. See Photo Below.

in our lives, by showing them an empty elephant. How it look, well, not alive.

"Being" The Church - Pool Help

In the middle of June, Victory Life Church was given the wonderful opportunity to
step out and be the church. We had a lady and her three granddaughters have a terrible
thing happen to them, their above ground pool just gave one night. One night at 9 pm there
it was, water all over the place. She contacted a couple of pool company's and they wanted over $6,000 dollars to replace the pool and also put it up.

In stepped the church. We took the next three Wednesday evenings and helped put up the
brand new pool that she had ordered. We came together as a church and fulfilled a need.

We currently have a video of the pool construction on our video page on our website. Be
sure to visit www.vlifechurch.org and click under the videos banner....

4th of July - Serving the Community

Victory Life Church had the great opportunity of serving our community during the
recent 4th of July holiday. Victory Life Church worked the Jakes Fireworks store located
on broadway during the 4th of July. Our fun began on Saturday June 21st as we stocked
the store full of fireworks and shelves.

We then began running the store on June the 27th with a goal of raising funds for the kids
to go to Camp Standlee, which is the summer camp. We had a great turnout and a lot of help in
making sure everybody was taken care of.

Man did we see a lot of fireworks go through the store and meet a lot of nice people in which
we were able to serve. Thanks to all who helped out.. Awesome work and we made enough for
the kids to go to camp and maybe enough to finish out the "Attic". Be sure to watch the video on
our home page....
